First of all let’s talk about what hydration is?
According to the Oxford Dictionaries:
Hydration the process of causing something to absorb water: “the human body requires adequate hydration to function properly” ·
the process of combining a substance chemically with water molecules:
“the hydration of carbon dioxide”
According to the familydoctor.org: Hydration is important because our bodies depend on water to survive.
Every cell, tissue, and organ in your body needs water to work correctly. For example, your body uses water to maintain its temperature, remove waste, and lubricate joints. Water is needed for good health.
How do you know that you are dinking enough water and are staying hydrated?
Very easy: check your urine!
If your urine is consistently colorless or light yellow, you are most likely staying well hydrated.
Dark yellow or amber-colored urine is a sign of dehydration.
